HATCHED IMPACT GRANT (CHICKEN & EGG PICTURES, USA)

In 2023 From the Shadows #Missingirls became one of 10 global films to receive the Hatched Impact grant from Chicken & Egg Pictures (USA) that supports the work of women and non-binary filmmakers.

 

The grant allowed us to curate  screenings to reach our four impact goals. This allowed us to reach audiences far beyond the festival circuit to directly address vulnerable communities, law enforcement and other anti-trafficking stakeholders,  use art and cultural forums to find ways to collaborate and finally change the narrative for survivors so they are no longer perceived as victims but hailed as heroes and change leaders, We were able to organize close to 50 screenings over the grant period across India and in neighboring countries where cross border trafficking is rampant.
